Greenland is preparing for the early parliamentary elections on March 11. This action attracts attention following the announcement by US President Donald Trump regarding America's possible attempts to gain control over it.
Currently, two parties dominate the government of Greenland: "Inuit Ataqatigiit" and "Democrats". In recent years, the "Democrats" have been holding leading positions in the parliament.
"We are standing on the verge of change of eras and a new view of the future," said the leader of the "Democrats" party.
Parliamentary elections in Greenland are planned to be held in accordance with the established requirements to ensure the democratic process.
