The Prime Minister of Greenland, MĂștte Igodt, confirmed that the residents of the country do not wish to become Americans.
Stressing Greenland's independence, Igodt stated: "We want to preserve our culture and our traditions. It is important for us to maintain our uniqueness and autonomy."
He also noted that the country seeks to strengthen its ties, but not at the expense of losing its identity. "We are ready to cooperate with other countries, but this does not mean that we are ready to lose ourselves," the Prime Minister added.
